2. Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to any:
-
sale of handmade ceramic pieces,
-
registration for weekly workshops,
-
registration for courses, training sessions, or events.
Any registration, reservation, payment, or participation implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, to the exclusion of any other terms.
Chemins de Terre reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable version is the one in force on the date of registration.
3. Handmade nature of products and services
All creations offered are unique handmade pieces or produced by hand.
Minor variations, irregularities, differences in color, dimensions, or finish do not constitute defects but are inherent to handmade craftsmanship.
These characteristics cannot give rise to cancellation, exchange, or refund.
4. Sale of ceramic pieces
4.1 Sales conditions
Sales are carried out exclusively:

in person,
-
with immediate collection on site.
No distance selling or delivery is offered.
4.2 Payment
Payment must be made in full:
-
in cash, or
-
by bank transfer.
Ownership is transferred only after full payment has been received.
4.3 No right of withdrawal
As sales are concluded exclusively in person, no right of withdrawal applies.
4.4 Complaints
Any complaint must be made immediately at the time of purchase.
Once the customer has left the premises, no complaint will be accepted.
No return or refund will be accepted, except in the case of proven hidden defects.
5. Workshop and course registration
Registrations are made by email and are only valid after written confirmation from Chemins de Terre.
A place is guaranteed only after full payment has been received.
Chemins de Terre reserves the right to refuse any registration without justification.
6. Weekly workshops (subscription)

Any session started is due in full.
Absences

no reduction or refund in case of absence

make-up sessions possible only subject to availability and within the current year

absence of the instructor: session rescheduled or refunded
Validity
The subscription is personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable.
7. Courses / intensive workshops
7.1 Payment
A deposit of 30% is required upon registration.
The balance must be paid before the beginning of the course.
Failing payment, Chemins de Terre may cancel the registration without refund.
7.2 Cancellation by the participant
Refund calculated based on total price:

≥ 1 month before: 90% refund
-
≥ 15 days before: 50% refund
-
≤ 15 days before: no refund
Any cancellation must be made in writing.
7.3 Cancellation by the organizer
In case of force majeure, illness, or insufficient number of participants, Chemins de Terre may cancel or postpone the course.
Refund of amounts paid constitutes the sole compensation.
8. Use of premises and equipment
Participants agree to:

follow safety instructions,
-
use equipment properly,
-
participate in cleaning,
-
behave respectfully.
Any damage caused to equipment may be charged.
Chemins de Terre reserves the right to immediately exclude any person whose behavior endangers others or disrupts activities, without refund.
9. Clay, firings, and created pieces
Clay, firings, and consumables are not included unless stated otherwise.
Ceramics are subject to technical risks (cracks, deformation, breakage, glaze defects, kiln damage). No result can be guaranteed.
All pieces are made at the participant’s own risk.
No refund or compensation will be granted for loss or damage.
10. Liability
Participants acknowledge the manual and potentially hazardous nature of the activity (sharp tools, machines, high-temperature kilns).
They participate under their own full responsibility.
Chemins de Terre shall not be held liable for:

bodily injury,
-
accidents,
-
material damage,
-
loss of personal belongings,
except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
11. Insurance
Chemins de Terre holds professional liability insurance covering damages falling under its legal responsibility.
This insurance does not cover damages resulting from participant negligence.
12. Minors
Minors participate under the sole responsibility of their parents or legal guardians, who accept these Terms and Conditions.
13. Late payment
Any unpaid amount may result in:

refusal of access to courses,
-
cancellation of registration,
-
legal late payment interest,
-
fixed compensation of 10% with a minimum of €50.
14. Force majeure
Chemins de Terre shall not be held liable in the event of circumstances beyond its control (illness, accident, technical failure, fire, power outage, administrative restrictions, weather conditions, etc.).
15. Intellectual property
All teaching materials, content, methods, and creations remain the exclusive property of Chemins de Terre and may not be reproduced or distributed without written authorization.
16. Personal data
Collected data is used solely for registration management and communication with participants, in accordance with GDPR.
17. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the district where the company’s registered office is located.
